One of several black walnut bowls that I have turned in the past few weeks.
Got this wood from a friend that is kind enough to give me wood from time to time.
Never did get the finish I wanted on this bowl so it may go back for some more work before it gets a home.

Nice bowl Tom, from what I can see on the photographs the finish looks fine to me. Nice to have friends who will give you pieces of timber like that. What drying process did you use?

That is a beautiful piece of Walnut. Glad you kept the sap wood. I really makes a gorgeous contrast!

That black walnut is gorgeous. Like the shape of the bowl and the finish looks great. Great job!
