Maple deadblow mallet.
Turned the handle offset near the end, I was scared to get aggressive, this was my first lathe work in 20+ years.
Purpleheart wedges.
Some pics are before I applied the finish.
What was supposed to be a quick pic for facebook turned into a sexy photoshoot. :)

just what i was going to say iminmyshop. make an ugly one you keep in a drawer, and hang that one on the peg board.

very cool. I need a deadblow and saw a pattern in an old “Wood” magazine for one and was thinking of taking on this little project. i like yours.
