These two Mission Style tables were built to satisfy our need for new tables in the family room. I attempted to make something that would take some abuse. That’s the reason that I designed the tops around a couple of pieces of tile that are about 17-5/8” square. No need to worry about stains from glasses and food. Just wipe it up. And in the event that the wife changes color schemes, I can replace the tile with a matching color. I think it worked out pretty well. While similar to other tables, this is my design. I finished it with wipe on poly. That’s a really easy finish to apply. The wood is common Red Oak.

Nice End Tables, Kenns. I’ve thought about the tile top myself and like your idea of changing them out if needed. The mission style is always a great look and yours are no exception. Thanks for sharing.
