A coffee table my daughter and I made when she moved into an apartment for college in summer of 2010. The base/frame is poplar put together with mortise and tenon joints. The top is reclaimed heart pine from our home. Our home was built in 1895 and an attic area was floored with rough sawn 1X10 heart pine. I pulled it up and replaced with plywood. I just couldn’t stand storing our holiday decorations and other junk on top of that pine! In the last picture, we staged a tumbler from Georgia Southern, the college she is attending. She’ll graduate this May and the table still looks great after 3 years of college living!
