Here’s a simple recessed cabinet that is installed in a small alcove above a toilet. Finish is General Finishes Shaker Maple Water-based Stain over Charles Neil’s Blotch Control, with a topcoat of Target Coating’s EM8000 Water-based Conversion Varnish. Thanks for looking. (BTW, the blotchy look in one of the pics is just a product of poor lighting/photo – not poor performance by Charles Neil’s product.)

Simply gorgeous.
What type of hinges did you use and can we get a peak inside?

Very nice cabinet with excellent design lines. Did you use cherry wood or something else?

Wow… nice job on the reveals! I have done a lot of inset cabinets and know how difficult it is to ensure a consistent gap. Looks great!

that is one of the nicest looking cheery finishes I’ve seen. There’s something about black hardware with cherry that sings to me. gorgeous project.
