This is a table riser for my kitchen table. I got rid of the small lazy susan I had because I wanted room to put a centerpiece on the table for the holidays. I searched the river bank for that perfect piece of old wood but never found what I wanted. I found this piece of oak at the hardware store and did my best to make it alittle rustic. I kind of like it. Not much to this as you can see just a fun easy project. Thanks for looking.

Nothing wrong with simple. Nice job.

I like its simplicity, proportions and the distressed edges. Nice project, thanks for sharing it.

That’s a great idea. I feel like going out to do some beach-combing…oh wait, we had about 6 inches of snow this morning. Happy spring!

Happy Spring to you too. I’m actually on Spring break and it sucks. Too cold here. The river came up and dropped like a rock just to make it too muddy to walk along it so I wont be combing the river banks for awhile.

Nice idea! You did a great job on the rustic look. Is it for the cabin table?

Like the rustic look. It adds a great accent to the table. Well done!

I really like that idea over the Lazy Susan. It holds more…and allows more guests to have open access to whatever you have on your tray.
