Inspired by simmothewoodturner
and his puzzle, I looked up the solution to the “Lover’s Yoke” and built one. The red one was a flat cut-off of bubinga, I turned the two beads, and tried my hand at relief carving. The green one is Lignum Vitae with hand carved beads.

Just to be funny, the puzzle at the top is a piece of Padauk where I tried to experiment with molten tin inlay. The metal burnt the inner wood a little, and the surface ripples while solidifying, but it will never come out. I attached three previous attempts at beads (two Lignum Vitae, one Ebony) and tied some loops. There is actually no solution to the puzzle, you cannot remove the ring without untying the string. I put both of the puzzles on my desk and wait for people to start tinkering with them.

I thought the object was to move one bead to the other side,
that is the object I think.

For the bottom two, that is the object. (To move the beads to the same loop). The top one isn’t actually a puzzle, so you can’t move anything. I just put it on my desk to mess with people.

Jeff, Welcome to LumberJocks. Really nice looking puzzles, I really like the carved one. The solutionless one is just too funny, I know a number of people that would more then likely try for hours to figure it out.

Cool and fun puzzles! Great turning and carving skills on making such beautiful shapes.
