Hello Lumberjocks. My wife was doing some purging & found this box in an old trunk. I made this in High School, maybe about 10th or 11th grade in shop class, (about 1966, 67 ???). Andy was not there to inspire me so the design & workmanship was not there like it is today on Lumberjocks. Looks like I was maybe doing some roofing @ one time when this box needed some repairs, LOL. Anyway the last two photos are of some more recent boxes I have made since being inspired by Andy & the Lumberjocks site, thanks Andy & all Lumberjocks, I hope you notice some improvement in my workmanship & design, LOL Just had to post this…......................Jack

Jack, that box isn’t so bad. I still make those for tool boxes on our tractors and mowers.
For us they last 4 or 5 years before replacement.

Look how far you have come! Your “art boxes” are awesome! The one in the last pic with the string inlay is amazing. Or did you cut the inserted panel into sections and glue strips in? I would like to learn how to do this.

It’s important to have a box like this around. Sometimes we need a reminder of how far we have come.

The last 2 are beautiful
