Hickory Kitchen

This is a hickory kitchen I did before my last deployment, now almost a year later I finally get the chance to take some pictures.

The counter top is solid maple, hand planed, but we left a lot of texture in it. She has a farm house and wanted it to look a little rough. I like it.

We put as much solid hickory in these cabinets as we possibly could. They are very heavy, and very durable.

Finished with conversion varnish and a special mix of stains.

Dustin,

Great looking kitchen. We like the idea for the countertops, too.

Just sawed my first hickory on my saw mill this week. It won’t be my last. Made someone a mantle and it turned out beautiful. Plenty of nice planks left over to build something. Just have not figured out what I will make.

Fantastic kitchen! Great build and great design. Like the wood and the country look. It will stay and be enjoyed for many years by the whole family. Thanks for sharing and your service!
