Had a client that wanted 3 quilt racks to give as gifts. I came up with a couple of variations of a common style of rack that we all have seen many times. Material is furniture grade pine with a mahogany inlay strip, finished with 3 coats of lacquer. The tombstone shaped one has wedged thru tenons. I installed small mahogany wedges into two slots I made in the tenons. I also drilled a small relief hole at the top of each slot to control splitting of the tenon.

Those look great. I too like the accents that you used.

Very nice looking and well made racks! Like the mahogany inlay, added a nice accent.
