End of season basketball awards.

My wife coaches a middle school basketball team and approached me the day before her end of season awards ceremony (thanks Dear) to make some awards for her basketball team. They were completed in the span of 12 hours, including buying the materials, coming up with the design, cutting them out, and painting them. The bases are 1/2” pine, that I cut out with my router, using a template that I made and a pattern bit. The figures are 3/8” thick pine that I cut out with my scroll saw. The female trophy is for our daughter, who is the only girl on the team. Each one was personalized for the player.

They are very well done I’m sure the kids were very pleased with them

Very original and well done . . . and in such a time crunch—WOW! We were curious, too, about the design and text on the bases. Thanks for sharing.

The design on the base was airbrushed. The lettering was done in vinyl. If I had had more time, I would have done something nicer.
