I purchased this burl cap at the beginning of July last year and it also sat waiting for inspiration. I almost decided to do something else with it, but fortunately procrastination paid off and I finished up doing this with the piece. It measures 13.5in x 12.5in x 2.5in and is finished with Krylon clear varnish.
C & C Welcome.
Thanks for looking.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Hey Bob, I remember you showing me this one awhile back, That structure of the wood grain looks like a cross section of a human heart, really awsome. I too like you have a piece of Red Mallee that has been in the closet for the last 10 years, I was going to cut it up and make some smaller projects of it, what a waste that would have been. Think I will try and turn it whole, and see if I can get it to look as nice as yours is.

Beautiful work. Awesome looking bowl grain and color all are just perfect to me. I like the live edge burl bowls.
