I got a bit pen happy today..
I had an order for three European Pens and had some scraps laying around.
Pens are great projects to use up essentially every last bit of material leaving very little waste.
Left to right in the first photo is Paduk, Birds eye maple x 2 and Zebrawood.
The second photo is #12 Indigo Royal dymondwood or BLUE stained maple From www.rrpwhite.com
These are great projects that really showcase the excellent grain patterns of different exotic hardwoods.
As a side note, I’m not sure why the website auto flips certain images in the thumbnails and there is no option to rotate the image once uploaded.
Hopefully someone from the site reads this and can work on a solution.
UPDATE: I figured it out! I was able to rotate the image correctly on a PC and could preview it just before uploading the image. Yay technology!

Nice work, I like the blue stained maple. Have to try that before I end this years production of pens.

Thanks! The Dymondwood is a really interesting product to purchase.. It’s not very forgiving in the barrel trimming stages if you’re not careful.
0000 steel wool after 400 grit sand paper give it a shine already then i use turners polish and wow does the finish sparkle.

They look great!
On a side note, am I the only one who was reminded of the old Saturday Night Live “Celebrity Jeopardy” skit when reading the subject line?

These look nice. I haven’t experienced your problem with the thumbnails, but your photo gallery in your computer should have and edit feature where you can flip it before posting. There is no editing feature on LJ.

Hopefully this one turned correctly. I used a mac and had the same issue with my first project post. The pictures are oriented the correct way but for some reason the website flips them… It’s really weird.
I used a PC and a Mac for posting and for some reason it’s still not working.. BAH!
