One of my first real wood projects. while I did use oak ply it is true oak for the trim including the molding which I made with my router. I was very upset with the large mistake I made in the forth pic because I only had one sheet of ply so the grain runs different on one shelf which I meant to put higher but slipped.

Looks good. What finish did you use?

Looks great canoe911. I have been in the same predicament with grain, looks like a good shelf to fill up with books. Keep up the beautiful projects.

Thanks guys. I used a mahogany stain with a few clear coats over it for easy cleaning.

Fantastic bookcase and looks perfect to me, once it’s filled with books no one will notice the mistake.
Have your say...
