Access from the bottom? I made an urn several years ago and I thought there were some special accomodations you had to make, etc. Then I learned they were just nothing more than a box.
Nice piece of wood to use as well.

One of my favorite things to do is follow the grain or feature like this, around the box. And you did a spectacular job! Really like the bevel on the top – super accent. I wouldn’t mind this being my urn.

That’s a really nice thing to do for your friend. My dog’s ashes are in a plastic container. You’ve inspired me to make something beautiful to put them in.
