As my oldest grandson transitions from Cub Scouts to Boys Scouts, I thought I would make a display for his five years of Pinewood Derby cars. I will post another pic when I get it sanded and stained. The base is a chunk of walnut I had left over from another project. The posts are from a 1” dowel cut at 22.5deg. The car support pieces cut from a sheet of 1/4” birch plywood. I was originally going to make the whole base curved, but decide it would fit on a shelf better using a straight base.

Looks good. We had are derby 2 weeks ago, much improved from last year. I need to do the same for my sons cars.

Great way for your grandson to hold on to memories of his early scouting days
