Quick Wood Clamp/Vise for my Drill Press

I needed a clamp to drill columns for the lamps I am making and was not sure how to make one, but I posted a blog and Waho609 answered with make a “V” in a 4X4 post, So this is what I came up with. It does the trick.

Nice solution. I’m building something similar to use on top of my workbench to clamp small parts. I figure I’ll drill 3/4” holes in it so I can anchor it using bench dogs or dowels. Did you epoxy the nuts into the “flowers” or are they just tightly fitted?

Just tightly fitted, I cut out the nut holes with my scroll saw.
