I just finished the first coat of stain on a KNOTTY PINE coffee table. This is very unique as it is the size of a small kitchen table , 36IN SQUARE. Not many living room areas these days would accommodate such a large piece , definitely not mine! Only thing left is three or four coats of lacquer and off to my next project. Honestly , I have talked to other fellow woodworkers and they avoid pine for various reasons but it is one of my favorite species to work with. It also shows lots of character!

Very nice. I love working with pine despite the fact knotty pine can often be naughty pine.

That looks very pretty, you are the pine whisperer and the finish is fantastic.

That is my kind of table. I love pine, and it’s pretty much what I work with all the time.
