Well, we all have to start somewhere, right ;)

I’d like to consider myself a pretty handy fellow but I’ve just never had the opportunity to get into woodworking. My wife got the family to chip in to buy me my very first table saw for my birthday and I’m having a blast learning how to use it!

You seem very resourceful and creative. You should become a good woodworker. Welcome to LJ. I hope your birds don’t get any speeding tickets.

Nice. good project. Do you unscrew the LP to clean it out each year?

Nice! Have the same idea and will be building about 6 of these. I purchased a few road signs from an auction and part of that bulk there were some license plates thrown in. So I plan to do the same. Thanks for posting, great idea and they look marvelous!

Very nice birdhouse! I’m sure the wrens will love it.

Looks good, welcome to lumberjacks. If you’re going to be power tool woodworking, get a bandsaw .(2 wheel)

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I look forward to sharing more in the future.

Ratchet – yes, I used screws specifically for that reason. Even bird houses need a good cleaning now and then ;)
