Refurbishing all workshop fixtures

Can’t wait to see what you do. I too have a kitchen counter work bench. Worked O.K. for years but now I need better. I even have 2×4 shims, (unnailed) to balance it! This summer I plan to replace/redo mine. Good luck and I hope to get some ideas.

Remove it? Maybe you could just re-purpose it by taking off the doors and putting 3 or 4 stacks of drawers in it.
