This is a simple mitered box that i initially put together to hold my wife’s Christmas gift. It was also the first project put together using the new to me delta table saw. It is made from poplar and then finished with linseed oil and bees wax, the lift out portion is made from leftover maple flooring that I cut down. My wife now re-gifted it to my daughter who stores her “jewlery” and other assorted collections in it.

Most non-woodworkers do not realize the skill necessary to make a simple box. Yours is excellent evidence of your skill. Really nice job.
