Here’s an easy drill press table for any newbie like myself. I just free handed some 2” circles on the band saw and used a 3/4 forstner to make a 1/4” deep recess the cut 3/4 dowel down to 1/2” lengths and used a 1/2” forstner to recess a 1/4-20 nut into dowel. Then used a .3 drill to center drill in dowel and knob. I used epoxy to hold nuts in and yellow wood glue to hold dowel in knob. I cut mdf @ 2’ x 16” for the table then routed a 1/2” groove for T track. I then cut a 1/8 sheet of oak plywood to table size and split it into three sections which I put a dovetail edge on to make a removeable center plate. Like I said I’ve seen much better on here but for the money maybe $10 it’s a great cheap starter table. Oh and after glueing the plywood to mdf I routed a 1/4” groove to create the t track. I used 4” 1/4 flange bolts on fence and 2 1/2” on stop blocks. Just a note use center to line up plywood for clamping then remove asap and clean up glue while wet. try to keep glue away from all edges of center and t track

Very nice “down & dirty” DP table. Although, it is much more than just a “down & dirty” DP table, it is a well constructed shop aide!!!

I like simple and cheap, yet very effective and functional. Well done!
