“Intertwined” bandsaw jewelry box. Black walnut, flame maple, redheart, stone accents.
Every so often while sitting in my recliner at night, I sketch out something that I think I’d like to build. This one popped up a while back, so here it is.
This turned out not quite as good as I wanted, and there are one or two very minor issues it will probably go back into the shop for.
The entire unit is about 9” tall, 8” wide, and about 3” deep.
The finish is brushed lacquer, steel wooled, then three coats of lacquer spray, steel wooled again, paste wax finish.
The walnut and maple were taken from wood I picked up on the side of the road from trees people were throwing away.
Thanks for lookin, and as always, copy it if you want!

That’s outstanding Paul. Looks like your bandsaw worked overtime on this one. It’s always more rewarding when you draw your own lines and make it original, but I may have to borrow this design. Thanks for your permission.

Imagine my surprise when I started resawing the maple I found at the end of the road and all those flames popped out!
