Here’s a Japanese lamp with a 7 color flashing led wired up inside. It’s made of hickory and maple left fron my jewlery box build.

Nice looking lamp! Would be a great design for a matching end table too! Where did you get your lamp/led device? Does it ‘flash’ or fade to different colors?

I got the two led’s and small black project box @ Radio Shack. The led is a 7 color fading but I thinks it’s more flashing because it fades so quickly which makes it harder to tell the color changes. It has two 330ohm resistors wired in series to each led, which starves the internal ic enough that it cycles through start up mode. Otherwise the led would cycle through 7 colors and turn off and would require a momentary switch wired to mode of led to cycle colors. Each Led had to be wired seperate too?? I tried series sets in parallel but it must require a higher amp draw than I thought because only one would cylcle continually that way.
