Driftwood Bowl

So, being a poor bastard, I went to the banks of the Mississippi river in New Orleans to find some good driftwood that I might be able to do something with. I went to Harbor Freight and got an angle grinder and a wood disk and this is what came out of it. I finished it with several coats of brush on polyurethane to seal in any nasties that might have been in the driftwood. Pretty simple, but I like it.

Looks great. Nice job. Did you ever figure out what type of wood it might be?
