Ok here is my first entry and my first project…thanks goes out to Steve Ramsey who inspired me to build this Table Saw Sled.

As you can see I took this while I had the ‘safety box’ clamped. Anyway, I loved the idea of having a stop block to allow me to cut (small) pieces at the same length. So I cut a dado into the 2×4 with my new table saw then I glued a 1/4” thick piece of recycled paneling to it and cut a slot big enough for the bolt to slide through. Now I admit I goofed and realized a little too late that I should have made the dado cut a little deeper and just last night I noticed the 1/4” piece of wood coming loose on the left and right side. I am already planning helping that wood get off the 2×4 and then I will use some scrap 3/8” plywood to replace it.

I agree with the others here, having recently built one or the exact same saw. It is a useful tool that does a lot to increase accuracy and safety.

Looks like a great job was done and thanks for reminding me where my original inspiration came from – I need to give WWMM a lot more credit than I do!
