This was one of my first large scale shadow boxes. I made this for a friend retiring from the Navy. It is Walnut with 6 layers of wood for the wheel with hand turned handles.

Great looking project. Welcome to LJs. Sorry you had to settle for being below the water for 20 years…much better scenery from the air…ha. If you haven’t already, look up Ken from “the last detail”. He’s made some really nice submarine-related projects.

Again, welcome to the site. There’s several military members in here making some awesome things.
