My mom likes Southwestern decor so I made her this kokopelli themed candle holder for Christmas. It is made from poplar leftover from some drawers I had made. The wood is about 3/16” thick. The box measures about 4”x4”x3-1/2”, big enough to hold 2-3 tealights. I finished it with some cherry stain and poly. I forgot to get any pictures of it at night, but these will do.
