Project Information

We had our big Christmas Show at the mall on the 8th and 9th of December.
I had a couple of folks call after to get custom canes made.
In this case the customer wanted a tapered cane with a handle to hold a Coast Guard coin in the end.
When someone asks for a certain type of item I will usually make several so they can pick the one they like the best, the rest go into the general sales inventory.
The coin is actually a lapel pin 1 3/4" in diameter.
The wood I used had some very interesting grain.

The customer picked the cane I had pushed to coin into to take the picture.

All sanded to 320 grit, sealed with 2 pound shellac, buffed until the excess shellac has rubbed off.
Enjoy.
