Hello everyone, the time has come to get my son out of our bed. I used hard maple with mortise and tenin joints with a honey maple gel stain finish. I maded a couple of mistakes, but the mattress and box fame will hide them. I used the rail hardware from Woodcraft which makes the bed really solid.

thanks for your positive comments and it was easy to build. It’s like building a cabinet door with legs!

Very nice! I really like this design; did you use plans? My daughter likes to move her room around about every other month, do you think the hardware will take that kind of use?

This was the second time using this type of hardware. First time I used the ones from Rockler (which are black) and then used Woodcraft because of the golden color. These type of brackets are very sturdy, I weight 280lbs and the bed doesn’t move while laying in it.
