Here is my first chair. Its an Arts & Crafts style (surprise), based on similar designs. The wood is QSWO and the finish is Shellac, followed by a gel stain and then three coats of pre-cat lacquer, rubbed with 0000 steel wool then dark wax applied. The finish is alittle darker then I like, but the client is happy.
The joints are m&t with the exception of the arm supports.
I would like to build a couple more to get a design I really like, then I want to tackle a rocking chair.

Sorry the picture does not show all the details.

Thanks for looking.

This is a pretty good looking chair. It has nice clean lines and QSWO is a nice wood to work with.

Thanks for the post.

I haven’t gotten up the nerve to tackle a chair. This looks like a great first effort to me.

Thanks for all the great comments.

Lee- yes I am, in fact this past wekend I did the bent laminations for the rockers. With that done, I can scale the rest of the chair.
