not sure myself, but I’m not a wood spec. But I know what I like and I like this shape and finish of this bowl/dish.

Not sure about the wood, but I’d say it is the nicest coaster I’ve ever seen. :-)

WELL MY FELLOW LJs…popular opinion is that it is Brazilian Cherry aka Jatoba ! thank you all for the help and comments of course and thank you for the links to Hobbit House ! Peace 8-)
