Back in the spring of 09, I jumped, as well as my dad, into woodworking. My wife had been saying for a while that she wanted a hutch. My dad suggested that we could make her one, she picked out a design, and we just set to it. Mind you, I have had no wood training, and to this day am pretty well self taught. She decided on this plan from a magazine, I cannot recall which now, but I’ll add it later, and we just built it, taking a few months on weekends to do so.

It’s a lovely piece. What type of wood did you use?

It was made with red oak from a local sawmill, and plywood.

Nice job, I really like the way the grain pattern flows accross the drawer pannels, nice touch.
