I needed a set of cole jaws to attach to my Oneway Talon Chuck for my next project, so I decided to make a some. I used the instructions from Wood Central ( http://www.woodcentral.com/cgi-bin/readarticle.pl?dir=turning&file=articles_123.shtml ) to make them. These instructions were easy to follow and it only took me 2.5 hours to make! They are not as strong as would have liked them to be (they have a little give), but they will do the job. My lathe has a 14.5” swing, so I made these jaws to open to a maximum diameter of 13”.

Are my eyes blurred or is this quite a massive piece? I look forward to seeing your next posting regarding your work with this.
