This coffee table was actually one of my first projects. I built it when my boys were coming over for the summer. Very simple design. Made of oak and coated in a polisander (dark brown) stain. Two coats of stain then finished with many layers of half tung oil, half linseed oil mix. Has held up very well. Dimensions are 42” by 52” and stands about 19 inches. It was a good project for a beginner.

Very impressive. A lot of people forget to take wood expansion in to account when making a project. I really enjoy seeing a project after it has been a while to see how it stood up to time.

I really like the finish on this. I sure had a hard time trying to match a piece almost this dark, so I really do appreciate what you pulled off.
