A desk set for the teacher

Our Daughter, who is a first grade teacher, got married and her students were having trouble getting their heads around the fact that their teacher was changing her name. In an effort to help them with the name change I decided to make her a desk set with her new name on it. In keeping with the school theme I turned an apple out of maple and dyed it red, that didn’t work, it turned out orange. Next I decided to try painting it red and that did the trick. A nice red apple for the teacher.
