This tool cabinet was very much needed and very enjoyable to work on and finish. Now I can actually find the tool I need and not spend half of the day looking for my tools. I just completed the cabinet this morning and have been looking forward to posting the finished piece. I do have a little bit of room remaining for additional tools but not much and most of the drawers are already full but each has very specific purpose. I hope you enjoy the tool cabinet.

The plane till is 22.5 degrees but I have a trick to holding the plane all in their homes. There is a additional piece of cherry that I included at the top of the cabinet that does a couple of things. Most importantly it holds all of the planes firmly in place without any concern of them tipping or slipping out.

This is very beautiful and functional. My fear is that I would not be able to accomodate additions to my growing collection of hand tools. Are the inner panels on the doors and the angled section replaceable? If so, do you think it possible to make them so I could rearrange things as I add new (and sometimes old) tools?

What’s the wire rope hanging down the back near the saws?
