This is an item from my bucket list. When LJ Byron posted his project, it was something I wanted to try. These are beetle pine. Hope to make them in various woods.

-- Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Very cool Monte. This is a great idea, to show off pictures of your work to potential clients.

Very nice Monte. I remember seeing one of these years ago out of figured Olive wood and it held the photos of a custom furniture maker. Cool way of displaying your work.

Great job on these. Looks like something for me to make in the near future.

Great idea for a woodworker, and it will not take you long to fill one up with pictures of your various projects
and wood supplied for other projects, especially when to get that bandsaw mill going. Thank you for sharing
the idea, I might make one, but it will take me a long time to fill it up, but then I have a lot of time anyway.

Ha! Very nice, I hadn’t seen the original, I understand why you had it in your bucket list ;)

One complain though, even though it’s gorgeous, isn’t your BKP a bit thick? The whole thing seems way thicker than the mandatory modern days portfolio (the iPad).

Maybe some thin RC aero plywood, veneered with something sweet, could do better on that matter for your future attemps? I’ll probably try it myself too, this idea is too good not to be attempted!

Excellent job! I want that knot on the front to be a pull or something though!

What a winning idea. Despite who did it first, its awesome. Who cares about the thickness of the wood. It truly gives the whole photo collection a strong first impression. I like this project, and will add it to my ever increasing list of projects to attempt, @ 382 so far. (so much wood and plans, so little time)
