Our local Goodwill has a great fund raiser for their homeless shelter- it is called the Goodwill Reinvention Convention. You pay your entry fee, and get store credit. You have to “reinvent” items from the Goodwill Store, to “art” and they then have a public showing and auction. I really like repurposing items, so I Rehabilitated some skis, and crutches, into an adirondack chair and table. I used northern white cedar for the frame, and downhill skis for the back and seat of the chair. I thought the crutches were a fun touch.

I find the skis and crutches used in the same project humorous they usually do find each other . . . could be a great resting chair in a ski lodge . . .

Very clever.
I agree…....I think there is a market for these in every ski lodge in Colorado.

Very creative. Love the irony. Not long ago I had a garage sale where a friend sold a pair of rollerblades and gave the buyer a free set of crutches.

I blew out my knee several years ago NOT landing a jump while skiing!!! So, I know first hand that skis & crutches go hand in hand!!! As it turns out, after learning that, I needed a place to sit down. Where were you then??? Lol.

BTW: Great lob repurposing & supporting a not-for-profit!!!

I look at every Adirondack chair on LJ. I love the varied designs, but this takes the prize. Cool!
