I don’t know exactly what I’m doing on this site as my pictures seem to be chopped off, but I have finally gotten it together to post the article I wrote in Fine Woodworking in 1980 about a flip open box on my blog. This is defionitely not my original design, and I can’t remember how it all came about that I started making them, but I did write the article. Soooo, if anyone’s still interested in the flip open box …. Here’s where to go … http://dorsetcustomfurniture.blogspot.com/

You’re pictures will appear chopped in the top display until you click on them.
Very nice box.

Yippie!
Now if I shank this project, I will have no excuses. Thanks again, Dan for taking time out of your schedule to find this material. Let me say that I’m thrilled to see you joined up here, and hope you find the site as enjoyable as we all do. Welcome.

That box is so cool! I liked it immediately. It’s certain that I’ll be making one of those. Thanks for posting the instructions.

This is a great design. Congratulation on the Fine Woodworking fame. I like this box a lot… I think I’ll make one too.

I remember that box…......I made a couple when that came out. I think I gave both of them away.
