I know there have been a lot of these on LJ and after finding myself in a less than comfortable position at the table saw recently, I decided I needed a better way to quickly stop my saw. I wasn’t sure which approach to take until the latest ShopNotes arrived and what do you know, there’s a switch cover waiting for me to build.
Credit should go to Larry Poore from Issaquah, WA who submitted the tip to ShopNotes.

Always nice to have!
Sometimes, the best course of action is to stop the feed, hold tight, kill the saw, and wait for it to stop.

Nice safety upgrade. I’ve been thinking about one of these for a while. Probably not good to procrastinate on a project like this…

very good. Beats the constant swatting at the switch I typically do.
