I turned my first pen today. It is made from tulipwood. Thanks to my neighbor for showing me how to use a lathe for the first time. I’m sure this will be the first of many to come.

Thanks! I inherited my father’s lathe but had never used one before, so my neighbor helped me get started. I think I’m gonna like the dark side!

Great job on your first pen, careful they are addicitve. Christmas coming soon, they make great gifts. I like to make pens from scraps from my bigger projects.
