Well I cant claim full credit here
I’ve been in spasm for 6 weeks and I was
told that a “Cardboard Whelping box WOULD
be purchased. Now that was cruel :(
So I had the Jolly Rouges get this together and built
this one,
It was made from an 8’ x 4’ 1/2” Birch Plywood
4 1” broom handles 48×1 1/2” drywall screws
finished with a Danish Oil Mix
Finished size 48” square x 12”
So Ryan, Gordon & Arthur; Thank you guys
Contents
Thembi 6 brindle & 1 white Boxers in the Box
Update
In photo #2 you can see the idea behind the
“Pig Rails” they give the pups a safety time out box :)
They are for the first 5-7 days and also good for new
Mums as they can push against the sides.

Looks like a fine build! But I need enlightenment: What purpose the broomsticks?

HAHA Stephen, that was awful and you beat me to it. :o)
That’s a nice box Jamie. I’ve never heard of the broomstick idea before but it sounds like a good idea. When my old dog had puppies, we used to blow up a kids paddling pool and put some newspaper in the bottom.

I counted twice and only came up with 5 pups, are the other two bashful? Great wood working project, now
are you going to build a pup door for the room when they get a little bigger, or just newpaper the entire floor?
Nothing like fresh puppie breath. Thank you for sharing.

Well made, Jamie and far better than a cardboard one any day. Hope you are feeling better soon.
