Short reed laminated goose call. I call it the Double X 484 because there are 484 individual segments glued up in the call and the form two “double X’s” in the call. Austrailian spotted gum, paduk, and osage orange segments, with bloodwood accents. Glued up with Elmers Pro-Bond, and the stuff is tough as nails. This call has been through rain and snow and sub-zero banging around.
This is one of my personal favorite hunting calls and is on my lanyard. Many a honker has ended up in my freezer due to this call, and many more in the future… :)

All The Best!

Pretty awesome work. The geese will come just to look at the call!

Wow, amazing work. How are your eyes after getting all the pieces cut and glued? Very nice turnings. I’m impressed.

The eys are fine… :) I didn’t put it together all in one sitting. It’s more fun to do it a bit at a time, with a beer and some heavy metal playing in the shop…. LOL!

Thanks for the nice comments!
