This is a Farmhouse styled table. The base is a distressed painted Poplar finish and the top is Hickory-1.5 inches thick,42” wide and 60” long with bread board ends. An almost full build blog can be found at the link below:

A nice solid looking table. Have you ever tried the breadboard ends using a sliding dovetail ?

Very nice and since I am looking to build a farm table this spring – I am think that I will be emulating your design. I am curious about the leg detail at the top of the taper – how did manage that ? I have not be able to figure out the technique.
