These all became Christmas gifts for my family and co-workers. I don’t think any of them have birds in them…But I think they kind of look good.

The stained ones are rough cut cedar and the painted are pine. The roofs are removable so you can mount them or clean them out if you ever got a bird in one.

All parts where made by me, either on my lather, scroll saw or other tools in my little garage. I drew the plans myself on Sketch Up and “borrowed” some ideas I saw around the web.

You should submit that second photo to a magazine called Birds and Blooms. Came out great!

Cool. I am a self proclaimed, ‘bird house junkie’. You should google, “Wild Birds Unlimited”. They are privately owed franchises and they CAN AND WILL consign birdhouses made from folks~~~ It is up to the owner. There are other Bird House Junkies that would pay HUNDREDS of dollars for the birdhouses…...even in the economy.

Even if your local WBU doesnt consign~ There is a decent market for your birdhouses. You should go into your local WBU and see what some of their houses look like…..and the prices they go for. (You will be shocked! Simple, simple houses can go for $100.00~)
You can also do baths and feeders.

You should seriously look into it…..I think you make good enough houses to be competitive in your area~~~

Food for thought

You might not have any tenants yet because they think the mortgage on these would be a killer.
Pic 5 is a real beaut.
