This is my first attempt at making any kind of tray, bowl or what ever you want to call it. Mistakes again, but getting better every day. This is two pieces but plan on putting a screw through bottom tray into the tea candle holder. Afraid the tea candle holder may fall over since its so tall. Sure don’t want to burn the house down.
Using this as a center piece on the dinning room table

I don’t see any mistakes… but then again… I haven’t a clue when it comes to turning… no lathe yet. Looks good though

Not a lathe person myself either, but it looks good from here. Either way, most of us gain on every project we make. If not, we wouldn’t stick with it. nice work.

I now have a lathe but haven’t done much with it. This looks good to me. Don’t be so hard on yourself Tom; have a nut and a smile:)
