Another project inspired by Steve Ramsey, or should I say “John & Lou” from WWMM.
This is actually the second attempt, the first time round I messed up the mitered frame, so I repurposed it as a mini planter-box. Then I’d run out of 1/4” plywood, and couldn’t justify a whole new sheet. So, instead I used some left over redwood bender-board from the big planter box, and with a pair of rabbets and some glue made them into 6”x1/4” strips. Frame made with some left-over pine. Finished with clear acrylic spray.
I am happy with it, the wife is impressed, and the price can’t be beat!
Now I have to make a magazine rack…

Great idea and design! Just think, in the olden days you would have to make it bigger to hold corn cobs.
