A while back Robert Putman (aka Grizzman) and I did a little trading. One of the piece I received was a piece of Elm root with some interesting spalting. So far I have a couple small project out of it.

The middle of the center of the piece had a punky surprise, so the bowl is a lot smaller than I hoped. But the small bowl, opened the opportunity to us some of the outer areas for the razor handle. I also have a couple pen blanks for future turning.

Thanks Robert!!! I hope I did the elm

Beautiful wood and a great way to use it.
