Clamp Stand out of scrap wood

I had been piling my clamps on a patio table and had to dig for them each time I need one. Naturally the one I needed was always on the bottom. I borrowed the triangle braces under the rack sections from Stumpynubs.

This is truly scrap lumber notice the red paint. Maybe one day I will paint it all over.

The rack is 32w x 58h with 2×4 stiffeners. I have 3 rows of racks with room at the top for another rack for short clamps. I have a rack for my pipe clamps on the other side not pictured.

So nice to be able to just reach for a clamp stead of having to dig for them. Now I have to discipline myself to put them up when finished.

Nicely done! They are ready to use and also out of the way. I like the self standing unit, as we have a similar set up but it’s attached to a wall, so no storage behind it.

You may be able to make these to sell!

Well done. I use to do the same thing as well. I made one that is on hinges and has 3 sections as I don’t have enough space. Great job.

Hello there LDL

I have a stock rack which is a small version of you clamp rack.
As for clamps I have a few but no where near your retail store supply.
I will see if I can mount them up similar to yours, if so i will post a project and
provide recognition of the design from your post.

Thanks for the comments. I had a space at the end of my assy table and the wall so I used it. I have seen several variations of this design and it fit the space.
